Caledonian
Creations began with the idea of creating traditional
Scottish leatherwork with a Celtic theme. After purchasing
leather and some basic tools the first sporran was
created and the idea was set in motion. However, for
the idea to take another step forward funding would
have to be secured.
I
began to research various ways of obtaining funding
and came across The Princes Scottish Youth Business
Trust, which was established by the Prince of Wales
to aid young people under the age of 25 in their business
ventures. They offered a business start up loan and
after submitting a detailed business plan I was accepted
for funding by their panel. This gave me the financial
aid that I required to buy in extra equipment and the
raw materials I needed to begin production.
I
began a low key sales strategy across the country and
shortly afterwards landed a major manufacturing contract
for one of Scotlands largest producers and wholesalers
of Scottish Goods. Orders came at a gradual pace and
allowed the company to grow smoothly and brought us
to the level that we are currently at now.
Caledonian
Creations now hosts an extending range of exclusive,
hand crafted leather goods, which have been noted for
their quality and originality. We have also decided
to apply these designs to various other materials like
wood and metal.
Always
willing to please, Caledonian Creations will do their
utmost to work to the customers specifications.
We have already created one-off designs to be used as
corporate gifts for Scottish Power and the Royal Bank
of Scotland who were delighted with their finished products.
Due
to our expanding product range we are continuously updating
our web site and welcome any visitors to contact us
for more information about product ranges, prices, commissions
or any other enquiries you may have.
